I decided to grab the opportunity to register and be a participant on a workshop offered by Creative Voices Productions dubbed as - Certified Voice Artist Program 2020 Batch 01, for an aspiring Voice Artist. Now that you have started attending a course, Does the learning stop here? Of course NOT, it's just the BEGINNING of my new journey in life to be a VOICE ARTIST.

This is somehow WHAT 'S YOUR STORY?.

Our VoiceMaster S' Pocholo De Leon Gonzales shared his story. I persisted with crowd roles. There are no small roles only small actors. I shifted completely to Speech Communication. I realized I love to talk more than write! "Lisanin na natin ang dagat ngayon"!, his first line in trying as a dubber. On that note, he was kicked out of the studio by a senior dubber. It was my first experience with "office politics" in the industry. He shared that "I promised myself that I will help EVERYONE who wants to start out in the industry." " I will never let rejection stop me." "I will auditioned and auditioned, volunteered and volunteered." Eventually, my voice made its way to thousands of commercials, anime, Koreanovelas, video games, children's shows, radio drama, audio books and much more.

Moral Lesson: "The best time to believe in yourself is when no one believes in you."

Some of the highlights of S' Pocholo Gonzales career in the industry:

• Voice of the Youth Network - to inform, inspire, involve and empower the youth, through radio broadcasting and information technology such as the internet. To promote social change.
• In 2000, he became a delegate for the Ship for Southeast Asia Youth program (SSEAYP). A cultural exchange and youth leadership program for two months (in a luxury ship).  
• He discovered my calling to become a MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER. He was able to go around the Philippines, to speak at the youth events & talk about Voice Acting, communication, personal branding & youth development.
• He came up with the idea to put-up a voice acting school. 2004 - UNIVOICESAL PRODUCTIONS was established. Despite having a 2M investment & state of the art facilities. Business cease its operations after six (6) months.
• 2005 when CreatiVoices Productions was born with a Php10,000.00 capital and a USB microphone. He was able to established the Philippine Center for Voice Acting (PCVA). The first and only voice actings school in the country. On that same year, we were able to offer the VOICEWORX workshop. Have produced more than 2,000 graduates. Since then 80%-90% of voice artists in the industry are VOICEWORX graduates. 
• In 2008, he became the voice director & the voice for two characters - Toti & Hal An - "Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia".
• In 2012,  he attended and only Asian (Filipino) panelist/ speaker during the  VoiceOver International Creative Experience held in Anaheim, California. He had the chance to meet the voice behind the famous characters such as Bill Farmer (Goofy) and Rob Paulsen (Donatello of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
• While in 2014, he was included in the film "KUBOT: The Aswang Chronicles", Directed by Erik Matti.
• His talent become one of the most sought, known & respected voice artist in the country. He worked his way to be featured as guest in the most popular radio & TV stations, websites, and magazines to name a few.

Voice Acting is an art that should be nourished and passed on to the next generation. It should be practiced with a heart, a mission in mind and not just a source of income.

Learnings:

• Learn & rise-up from rejection. Make them your stepping stones.
• Know your "WHY"?
• Make your talent a tool to help others grow.
• How about you? What's your story? What's your mission?
• Write a script and narrate your story and tell us, Why you want to be a voice artist?

2. Knows how to read.

4. Willing to invest in T.E.A.M. - TIME/ENERGY/ABILITY/MONEY. Availability & Visibility are the best Ability.
5. Creativity and Imagination.
6. Willing to go "CRAZY".
7. Mental toughness.
8. Team player.
9. Don't lose your day job.
